Our Latest Katrina Mission Trip

Seventy people from 13 churches in the Presbytery of Detroit
are headed to Houma, LA, March 3-7to help victims of Hurricane Katrina
to rebuild their homes and their lives.

Eight of the participants are members of First Presbyterian church: Tom Duffield,
Bob and Velma Oliver, Ben Pawley, Caitlin and Julie Smith, and Tim and Diane Wallis.
Ben's friend Les Leslie will also join the group.
This is the sixth trip that members of the Presbytery have participated in since
November 2005. Participants will be doing a variety of jobs including insulation,
drywall, painting, electrical work, carpentry, ramp building and siding.
