Christmas Baskets

Experiencing the Joy of God’s Love in Action      Recently, the deacons of the church coordinated a program that provided 34 families in the Pontiac area with Christmas baskets filled with food, toiletries, and wrapped gifts. In addition, each of the 87 children from these families received a quilt or an afghan that was hand crafted by the women of the church. The project was made possible by the many generous contributions from members and friends of First Presbyterian Church. An abundance of food, gifts, finances, and time, supplied by so many, made the event an overwhelming success. This is an annual project that has grown tremendously over the years as the needs of the community have grown.
